A little about me….2 small kiddies, new house, (braces-wearing) full-time mum, hundreds of hospital visits with kiddie no 2 ……..I needed a holiday…..fast! It was suggested by the hubby and never a girl to look a gift horse in the mouth, I jumped at the chance.

A few texts later, an Aer Lingus seat sale offer and I had a partner in crime. Best friend (more like a sister) and also a full-time mum of 2. We’d often day-dreamed about shopping in New York but with neither of us working, self-indulgent trips abroad were not exactly high on our agendas.

Having 2 supportive hubbies was key! They were great to manage the kids for 5 days but how they put up with the “planning meetings” and the “post-trip analysis” I’ll never know.

Anyway, we over-planned, over-shopped and had an absolutely fabulous time. All culminating in yours truly being stopped at Shannon Airport by Customs…….. hilarious………

After coming home and telling all in my address book about my trip, requests came for names and numbers of restaurants, shop, etc. So here they are…….Have fun!
